ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION COORDINATOR

In line with Equity Bank’s Mission of o‑ering integrated ­nancial services that socially and economically empower consumers, businesses, enterprises and communities, and its vision of being the champion of the socio-economic prosperity of the people of Africa, under the supervisory of the Enterprise development and Financial Inclusion Manager, the Enterprise development and Financial inclusion Coordinator will support Enterprise development and financial inclusion pillar to promote ­nancial inclusion and business development through provision of financial literacy and entrepreneurship Education to sta‑s, customers and other stakeholders and regular monitoring and reporting of performed activities.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Develop Financial literacy training materials (Policies, Training Modules, implementation manuals and Presentations) that target to empower sta‑, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize Logistics planning related to Financial literacy trainings and ensure that all approvals and ­ling are well maintained.
  • Empower Sta‑, Customers and other stakeholders with Financial literacy, entrepreneurship Education and digital literacy skills and ensure that the Bank meets its intended outcomes.
  • Works collaboratively with the Enterprise development and ­nancial inclusion manager to deliver business value of the Bank.
  • Facilitate the development of annual plans and Plans’ review for Enterprise development and ­nancial inclusion pillar (Timelines, budgets and procurement plans)
  • Maintains power point presentations with the most updated regulatory material of ­nancial literacy and entrepreneurship management.
  • Collaborate with other departments and facilitate them to train their targeted customers on Financial literacy, digital literacy and entrepreneurship management.
  • Support Education and leadership development pillar to train ELP scholars on ­nancial literacy, entrepreneurship and business management.
  • Conduct trainings to external stakeholders based on key partnerships received. For example; training Refugees, training through other partnerships that the department and Bank in general will have secured.
  • Facilitate the bank in the promotion of ­nancial inclusion to its customers and other stakeholders and ensure that intended outcomes are met.
  • Work with line manager to prepare surveys and other researches related to financial inclusion outlook.
  • Create and update Risk register, and Issue logs related to the performance of financial literacy, entrepreneurship education, and digital literacy and ensure right measures have been taken or escalated to the line manager.
  • Assess, Analyze and handle claims related to financial inclusion in general and ­nancial literacy particularly, and escalate to the line manager where necessary.
  • Work on Proposal development.
  • Ensure the con­dentiality of data and information speci­c to its activity.
  • Performs any other duties of the bank as assigned by the supervisor that contribute to the bank performance.

Candidate’s Qualifications, Skills, Experience and key Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Development studies, or related courses. A masters Degree in related ­eld is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous work experience in implementing ­nancial inclusion and enterprise development programs. Experience in NGOs is an added advantage.
  • A good understanding or experience in providing ­nancial services (credit and other banking services) or training to MSMEs is an added advantage.
  • Experience in data collection, including survey design and training enumerators.
  • Experience in analyzing data, in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Experience in engaging external community and trainings is an added advantage.
  • Profficient in MS Oce packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information and budget management systems, knowledge-sharing networks.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Hardworking and team working spirit.
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Good proposal writing skills.
  • Presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful and results-oriented.
  • Professional pro­ciency in English and Kinyarwanda is required. Knowledge of French is an added advantage.

PAYMENTS TECHINCAL LEAD

The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional customer experiences by ensuring the seamless operation and technical support of our digital channels. The Technical lead will lead a team of technicians in providing day-to-day supervision and support for critical digital channel systems, Oversee the maintenance, repair, installation, and con­guration of POS terminals, software, and hardware. Troubleshoot technical issues across various platforms like OMNI Back O‑ce, Eazzy biz Back O‑ce, Ecommerce, and PWE and proactively monitor system uptime and performance to optimize service delivery and minimize downtime for payment platforms

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of technical payment support sta to achieve departmental goals and targets.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to enhance their technical skills abilities.
  • Managing and maintaining and supporting all pos equipment is including servers (PM and net servers)
  • Managing all merchants (POS & Ecommerce) and Agents’ creation in Way4 internal card management system.
  • Work with IT and Group development team on digital technology implementation platforms and tools used by the business, including troubleshooting issues.
  • Coordinating with IT teams for system maintenance or upgrades and ensuring compliance with security and data privacy regulations.
  • Supervise troubleshooting of Pos software and network connectivity
  • Analyzing user equipment as well as software performance
  • Analyzing root cause of transaction declines
  • Managing all software installation updates on the Pos devices
  • Supporting and solving all system issues or failures
  • Supervise Payments Technical Support o‑cer on their duties and provide reports.
  • Batch proof daily merchants’ ­les created in the system (Agent, merchants, and ecommerce)
  • Validate POS inventory and submit report to management.
  • Raise CR for all technical support required for all merchants.
  • Performs sanity check to all merchants to ensure that they are well maintained in way
  • Ensures compliance functions related to card speci­c regulatory requirements are met.
  • Stays up to date on the latest payment technologies and industry best practices.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related ­field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably within the payments industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of banks policies & procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing systems and technologies, including familiarity with payment gateways, merchant services, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Experience of working with multiple projects/tasks and the ability to prioritize.

MERCHANT PWE & MOMO PAY PRODUCTS LEAD

The PWE Product Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Merchant PWE “Fasta” and Momo Pay solutions. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the product lifecycle, from ideation and strategy to development, launch, and ongoing improvement. This role will be supervised by the Merchant Acquiring & Cards Issuing Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities.

  • Deliver target and growth Merchant recruitment.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Micro SME/SME Relationship Managers & Relationship Officers for referrals and securing appointments for the merchants.
  • Ensure proper Merchant activation and basic training are properly attended to and conduct regular visits and training to Merchants users.
  • Monitor the Merchant PWE and MoMo Pay performance per Merchants Per Branches.
  • Promote the Bank’s corporate image among Bank Merchants

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Attributes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related ­eld. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management, with at least 3 years directly focused on related retail technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, sales processes, and a keen eye for identifying opportunities to drive e‑ciency and revenue through innovative retail banking solutions.
  • Thorough knowledge of banks policies & procedures.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.

PROGRAMS MANAGER

The focus of the job is on programs management, coordination and execution, ensuring timely research and data collection, e‑ectively managing donor funds where partnerships are involved, support on other social engine services and follow-up the M&E part of the programs all aligned to the Strategy of the Bank. The Program Manager will be expected to have high research and data analysis skills, proposal writing and project management skills with high execution capabilities.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Devise and implement strategies to secure funding from diverse sources, such as grants, donations, and partnerships.
