ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION COORDINATOR
In line with Equity Bank’s Mission of o‑ering integrated nancial services that socially and economically empower consumers, businesses, enterprises and communities, and its vision of being the champion of the socio-economic prosperity of the people of Africa, under the supervisory of the Enterprise development and Financial Inclusion Manager, the Enterprise development and Financial inclusion Coordinator will support Enterprise development and financial inclusion pillar to promote nancial inclusion and business development through provision of financial literacy and entrepreneurship Education to sta‑s, customers and other stakeholders and regular monitoring and reporting of performed activities.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Develop Financial literacy training materials (Policies, Training Modules, implementation manuals and Presentations) that target to empower sta‑, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Organize Logistics planning related to Financial literacy trainings and ensure that all approvals and ling are well maintained.
- Empower Sta‑, Customers and other stakeholders with Financial literacy, entrepreneurship Education and digital literacy skills and ensure that the Bank meets its intended outcomes.
- Works collaboratively with the Enterprise development and nancial inclusion manager to deliver business value of the Bank.
- Facilitate the development of annual plans and Plans’ review for Enterprise development and nancial inclusion pillar (Timelines, budgets and procurement plans)
- Maintains power point presentations with the most updated regulatory material of nancial literacy and entrepreneurship management.
- Collaborate with other departments and facilitate them to train their targeted customers on Financial literacy, digital literacy and entrepreneurship management.
- Support Education and leadership development pillar to train ELP scholars on nancial literacy, entrepreneurship and business management.
- Conduct trainings to external stakeholders based on key partnerships received. For example; training Refugees, training through other partnerships that the department and Bank in general will have secured.
- Facilitate the bank in the promotion of nancial inclusion to its customers and other stakeholders and ensure that intended outcomes are met.
- Work with line manager to prepare surveys and other researches related to financial inclusion outlook.
- Create and update Risk register, and Issue logs related to the performance of financial literacy, entrepreneurship education, and digital literacy and ensure right measures have been taken or escalated to the line manager.
- Assess, Analyze and handle claims related to financial inclusion in general and nancial literacy particularly, and escalate to the line manager where necessary.
- Work on Proposal development.
- Ensure the condentiality of data and information specic to its activity.
- Performs any other duties of the bank as assigned by the supervisor that contribute to the bank performance.
Candidate’s Qualifications, Skills, Experience and key Attributes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Development studies, or related courses. A masters Degree in related eld is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Previous work experience in implementing nancial inclusion and enterprise development programs. Experience in NGOs is an added advantage.
- A good understanding or experience in providing nancial services (credit and other banking services) or training to MSMEs is an added advantage.
- Experience in data collection, including survey design and training enumerators.
- Experience in analyzing data, in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Experience in engaging external community and trainings is an added advantage.
- Profficient in MS Oce packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information and budget management systems, knowledge-sharing networks.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Hardworking and team working spirit.
- Good technical writing skills.
- Good proposal writing skills.
- Presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Proactive, resourceful and results-oriented.
- Professional prociency in English and Kinyarwanda is required. Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
